The 2012 Ram 2500 Heavy Duty CNG with have both a natural gas tank as well as an 8-gallon fuel tank for gasoline. Why does this truck need a gasoline tank?

 “Chrysler said a small amount of gasoline is needed to start the truck,” comments Casey Newton, General Manager of Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Franklin. “But after ignition it runs entirely on natural gas.”

Prospective Franklin area Ram 2500 Heavy Duty buyers will enjoy that this gas-powered truck is a long-term money saver for owners. “Natural gas prices have dropped steeply over the last year thanks to higher production,” Casey Newton, General Manager of Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Franklin said.
The new Ram 2500 Heavy Duty truck comes equipped with a 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 engine with a driving range of about 255 miles on only natural gas. With the 8-gallon tank of gasoline, that will boost the range to 367 miles.

Body sides feature new side sills, satin chrome belt molding, black chrome "200" badges and gray or hyper black 18-inch "S" alloy wheels.

From the rear view, the new look is capped off by a new trunk lid spoiler, satin chrome light bar and a matte black lower diffuser with attached exhaust openings.

Stage Two adds performance with a coil-over suspension, which also lowers the center of gravity for the vehicle. In addition, Stage Two includes a cold-air intake and cat-back exhaust.
